2022 marks the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The gunfire of the Nanchang Uprising 95 years ago opened a new page of the Chinese nation from suffering to rejuvenation.

Peace does not come easily. In order to better maintain international peace and security, the United Nations adopted General Assembly resolution 55/282 in September 2001, and decided to designate September 21 as the International Day of Peace from 2002.

On the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the 2022 International Peace Day, the United Nations Foundation for the Protection of the World Intangible Cultural Heritage specially launched the selection of "artists for international peace".
In view of Deng Daduan's outstanding achievements in Chinese painting and calligraphy and his outstanding contributions to international cultural exchanges, the United Nations World Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation has awarded Deng Daduan the honorary title of "International Artist for Peace" after being recommended by international authoritative organizations such as the China International Cultural and Art Exchange and Development Center, the European Philatelic Association, the Landscape Painting International Art Center, and the Art Finance Journal. This is not only an affirmation and praise of the outstanding achievements of Chinese artists, but also a deep call for world peace!

The United Nations "artists for international peace" are a group of internationally renowned artists (or groups) who have outstanding personal qualities and have made outstanding contributions in the field of culture, art and education. Before that, painters Picasso, Qi Baishi, Han Meilin, singers Celine Dion, Sarah Brightman and musicians from more than 40 countries, including the World Peace Symphony Orchestra, have all won this honor.
This time, the United Nations Foundation for the Protection of the World Intangible Cultural Heritage awarded Wu Fenghua the title of "International Peace Artist", which caused great social repercussions and high praise. In the twenty-first century, when war, riots and crises continue, peace and development remain the common cause and theme of all mankind.

In order to better coordinate with the theme activities of "International Peace Artists" and "Art and Peace", United Nations Post, France Post, Canada Post and Austria Post will issue stamps of international peace artists at the same time.
No matter in the hard times or in the new era of reform and development, the Chinese opera performing artist Wu Fenghua has always followed the pulse of the times, raised the main theme, interpreted the positive power with her works and performances, and conveyed the idea of loving peace to the world. She is a veritable peacemaker!
