2022 marks the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The gunfire of the Nanchang Uprising 95 years ago opened a new page of the Chinese nation from suffering to rejuvenation.
Peace does not come easily. In order to better maintain international peace and security, the United Nations adopted General Assembly resolution 55/282 in September 2001, and decided to designate September 21 as the International Day of Peace from 2002.
On the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the 2022 International Peace Day, the United Nations Foundation for the Protection of the World Intangible Cultural Heritage specially launched the selection of "artists for international peace".
In view of Yang Yongen outstanding achievements in Chinese painting and calligraphy and his outstanding contributions to international cultural exchanges, the United Nations World Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation has awarded Deng Daduan the honorary title of "International Artist for Peace" after being recommended by international authoritative organizations such as the China International Cultural and Art Exchange and Development Center, the European Philatelic Association, the Landscape Painting International Art Center, and the Art Finance Journal. This is not only an affirmation and praise of the outstanding achievements of Chinese artists, but also a deep call for world peace!
The United Nations "artists for international peace" are a group of internationally renowned artists (or groups) who have outstanding personal qualities and have made outstanding contributions in the field of culture, art and education. Before that, painters Picasso, Qi Baishi, Han Meilin, singers Celine Dion, Sarah Brightman and musicians from more than 40 countries, including the World Peace Symphony Orchestra, have all won this honor.
This time, the United Nations Foundation for the Protection of World Intangible Cultural Heritage awarded the title of "International Peace Artist" to Yang Yongen, causing great social repercussions and high praise. In the twenty-first century, where wars, riots, and crises continue, peace and development remain the common cause and theme of all mankind.
In order to better coordinate the "International Peace Artists" and "Art and Peace" themed activities, United Nations Post, France Post, Germany Post, and Austria Post will simultaneously issue stamps for international peace artists.
Regardless of the difficult times or the new era of reform and development, Chinese folk art performing artist Yang Yongen has always followed the pulse of the times, raised the main theme, interpreted the positive power of his works and performances, and conveyed the concept of loving peace to the world. He is a veritable peacemaker!
International Peace Artist Yang Yongen:
Yang Yongen, an actor, performing artist of folk art, inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage, disciple of Mr. Shan Tianfang, member of the China Musicians Association, member of the China Quyi Artists Association, and senior judge of CCTV's "Xingguang Avenue". From 2020 to 2022, he served as the chief director of China Education Television Spring Festival Gala for three consecutive years. Over the years, I have participated in many programs such as CCTV's "Big League of Laughing Stars", "I Love the Whole House", "Friends Come from afar", "Depart for Happiness", and "Salute to the Classics". In the 1980s, I have made TV dramas, previous and second episodes of "Who Is the Killer", "Zero Point Action", and movies such as "Chasing the Soul". In 2011, he visited Paris, the Netherlands, and Belgium with the second session of the Chinese Quyi Artists Association, and won the silver medal for book evaluation. In March 2019, he was invited to endorse the limited edition of 30 year old Shenghe Famous Liquor of Guizhou Renhuai Zhengren Genuine Wine Industry Co., Ltd. In December 2018, I launched my own "Wine" MTV in Guizhou and Hong Kong, which was filmed and broadcast on Hong Kong Satellite TV. In 2020, he created his own songs, such as "Good Brother", "Mom", and "I Love You All My Life", which were broadcast on the Chinese Education Spring Festival Gala.
