Since then, the Chinese Academy of Arts (China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center) and Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism have reached a long-term strategic partnership on jointly holding the Chengdu Forum in the future. The Chinese Academy of Arts (China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center) will become the designated sponsor of the Chengdu Forum.

At the signing ceremony, Duo Yannam reviewed the holding process of the Chengdu International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival in China, fully affirmed the value and role of the Chengdu Forum, and looked forward to both parties taking this signing as the beginning, giving full play to their respective strengths, comprehensively improving the quality and academic status of the Chengdu Forum, and forming the academic brand of the Chengdu International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival in China.

The forum must be deep and practical. Wang Fuzhou stressed that under the regulation of the Convention on the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage, after 20 years of practice and exploration, China's intangible cultural heritage protection has achieved remarkable results. The time is ripe for the transformation of intangible cultural heritage from practical exploration to discipline construction. We should find an interpretation method and path suitable for the Chinese context, reorganize the concept of intangible cultural heritage, and re-recognize the content of the Convention. The cultural heritage protection system combining traditional Chinese cultural concepts highlights the dominance, uniqueness and creativity of Chinese culture.
Wang Fuzhou said that the achievement of this strategic cooperation is the high-quality integration of professional institutions and international platforms. This year's forum will carry out in-depth interpretation of the Convention, reflect on the concept, definition and classification of intangible cultural heritage, improve the theoretical research system, take the discipline construction as the guide, make theory and practice become the wings of take-off, and promote the development of China's intangible cultural heritage.

The Chengdu International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival in China is the only international cultural festival in China with the theme of promoting the protection and inheritance of human intangible cultural heritage, which is sponsored by UNESCO. It is a national platform for the friendly dialogue between the Chinese civilization and the civilizations of all countries in the world and for expanding the influence of Chinese culture. Since 2007, it has been successfully held for seven consecutive sessions. The Chengdu Forum is an important part of the forum. It has formed a series of academic achievements represented by the Chengdu Declaration and the Chengdu Initiative, which have strong influence at home and abroad.
The Chinese Academy of Arts (China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center) is the only national comprehensive academic institution in China that integrates art research, art education, art creation, intangible cultural heritage protection research and cultural and art think tanks. In 2006, the Chinese Academy of Arts added the brand of China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center and became a professional institution for national intangible cultural heritage protection. Since its establishment, the Center has participated in and carried out a series of work, such as the formulation of laws and regulations, the preparation of industry standards, the review of intangible cultural heritage list, the demonstration of experimental areas for cultural and ecological protection, special training, and subject research, and has made remarkable achievements, won the general praise of the international community, including UNESCO, and won the unanimous recognition of the domestic academic community.
