In order to strengthen the digital protection and archive construction of intangible cultural heritage and form a comprehensive and systematic digital record results related to China's selection into the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List (roster) project, our center, with the support of the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has continued to collect resources for the selected projects since 2018, and has completed six projects successively.

The work was carried out under the guidance of the relevant specifications for the collection of intangible cultural heritage digital resources organized by our center, with the recording of the content of the selected project and the protection and inheritance as the core, and aimed at more clearly and accurately grasping the cultural form, survival status, performance and protection results of the selected project.

This year, we will successively launch and display the results of resource collection of various projects on this official account and the China Intangible Cultural Heritage website (www.ihchina.cn), presenting the rich connotation and important value of these intangible cultural heritage projects in a more diversified and three-dimensional way. This time, we will focus on displaying the collection results of the "traditional production techniques of rice paper" project.

In this article, we will walk into the Chinese Xuan Paper Cultural Park and experience the inheritance and development of traditional techniques of Xuan Paper.

China Xuan Paper Culture Park

Located in Jing County, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province, China Xuan Paper Cultural Park is a comprehensive park built by China Xuan Paper Co., Ltd. to protect and inherit the traditional production techniques of rice paper, which integrates the demonstration of rice paper skills, inheritance practice and cultural tourism.

The park includes the Chinese Xuan Paper Museum, Sanzhang Sanjuxuan Production Workshop, Xuan Paper Technology Experience Park, Xinghui Pavilion and other parts. It is an important platform for exploring the cultural connotation of Xuan Paper, inheriting the production technology of Xuan Paper, and disseminating the traditional culture of Xuan Paper.

China Xuan Paper Cultural Park covers an area of nearly 40000 square meters. People can not only visit the traditional production techniques of Xuan Paper, but also experience the production process of Xuan Paper.

China Xuan Paper Museum

The China Xuan Paper Museum is a comprehensive Xuan Paper Museum integrating the history of Xuan Paper, the art of Xuan Paper, calligraphy and painting, and the exhibition of Xuan Paper products of past dynasties. The building area of the museum is about 10000 square meters. It opened on December 6, 2015 and officially opened to the public on January 1, 2016. The museum has three floors: the first floor is the exhibition area for the history and skills of rice paper, the second floor is the exhibition area for the collection of rice paper and fine calligraphy and painting, and the third floor is the temporary exhibition hall for calligraphy and painting exhibition.

Xuan Paper Technology Experience Park

The rice paper technology experience park, which opened on October 1, 2007, is a special production line to restore the traditional process of rice paper production in the 1860s. It fully displays all the traditional process of rice paper from pulping to paper making, and also has rich experience projects.
