On July 11, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism held a symposium on the implementation of the "Notice on Promoting the High-quality Inheritance and Development of Traditional Crafts" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice") to exchange learning experience and promote the implementation of various tasks of the document. Rao Quan, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Rao Quan pointed out that traditional crafts are closely related to the daily life of the people, involving many fields such as clothing, food, housing and transportation. They are an important category of intangible cultural heritage and an important part of China's excellent traditional culture.

Rao Quan stressed that we should have a deep understanding of the significance of issuing the Notice and enhance our sense of responsibility and mission; We should accurately grasp the rich content of the Notice and ensure the implementation of all tasks; We should closely organize the implementation of the Notice and promote the high-quality inheritance and development of traditional technologies. We should take the opportunity to promote the implementation of the Notice, form a working situation of linkage between the upper and lower levels and coordination between departments, strive to write a new chapter of high-quality inheritance and development of traditional crafts, and contribute to the inheritance and promotion of the excellent traditional Chinese culture, serve the high-quality development of the economy and society, and meet the people's high-quality living needs.

At the symposium, representatives of the Department of Circulation Industry Development of the Ministry of Commerce, the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, the News Center of China Central Radio and Television News Center, the Institute of Arts and Crafts of the Chinese Academy of Arts, the China Textile Industry Federation, the national representative inheritors, and the Beijing Arts and Crafts Association made exchange speeches.
